Tackle Camping in the 2020 Toyota Tacoma!

Leaves are changing and cool weather is headed our way, perfect for time spent outdoors and memories made around a fire. One of Arkansas’s most popular pastimes is camping and there’s plenty of fantastic spots near Little Rock to pitch your tent! Over the hills and through the woods to a secluded campsite we go!

Petit Jean

Just northwest of Little Rock is Morrilton, Ark. and untamed, Arkansas beauty. The beautiful Petit Jean mountain inspired the first Arkansas state park and the creation of the state park system back in 1923. Take your pick from 125 campsites at Petit Jean, with 35 Class AAA campsites and 90 Class B. After setting up camp, be sure to explore the nearby Lake Bailey or take a stroll along the hiking trails that lead through canyons, meadows and along Mount Petit Jean itself. Make sure that you book your campsite reservation before planning your trip. Head to the state park’s website for more information on starting your next grand camping adventure!

Lake Ouachita

Arkansas has no shortage of natural lakes and rivers and Lake Ouachita State Park has plenty to offer for the avid outdoorsman and the casual camper alike. Located just an hour southwest of Little Rock, in Mountain Pine, Lake Ouachita State Park is home to 93 campsites. Bring your own kayak or canoe to take full advantage of the bountiful waters. Lake Ouachita features boat rentals, as well as guided hikes and tours around the park. Check out Lake Ouachita State Park’s website to book your reservation today!

DeGray Lake Resort State Park

Home to the 13,800-acre DeGray Lake, DeGray Lake Resort State Park boasts 113 campsites, many of which feature electric and water hookups. Fishing and sport take control at DeGray Lake and we’d be remiss to not encourage you to bring your poles for some end of season fishing. Mountain biker? DeGray Lake State Park hosts plenty of biking and hiking trails for you to explore. There’s also a full-service marina for the boat enthusiasts and watercraft lovers, all just an hour south of Little Rock. Reserving your spot at DeGray Lake State Park could be your ticket to fall fun!
