We know that life is challenging right now. Many of us in the Central Arkansas community are struggling to make ends meet and feeling lonely, discouraged or scared. At Steve Landers Toyota, we are proud to be a part of this community, and we are dedicated to supporting one another in this time of uncertainty. Despite school and business closures and social distancing, there are still ways you can support your neighbors. Here are some ways you can give back to the community right now!

Support Local Businesses

When you support local businesses, you support your friends and neighbors right here in Arkansas. Small business owners rely on their customers to pay their employees, pay their bills and put food on the table. While businesses may be closed, many are still offering online sales, curbside pickup and takeaway orders, and delivery. If you can’t access their goods or services right now, consider purchasing a gift card for future use.

Send a Hand-Written Letter

Have you fallen out of practice writing handwritten, snail-mail letters? Well now is a good time to start up that tradition again. Consider writing letters to those who are in isolation, such as individuals in retirement facilities. Never underestimate the power of a thoughtful, hand-written letter. It could be a huge encouragement!

Donate to a Local Charity or Organization

Many people in our community are struggling right now, and some are finding it difficult to get necessities and even put food on the table.  By making a donation to a local charity or organization like the Arkansas Hunger Relief Alliance, you can help feed Arkansans in need.

No one should ever go hungry, especially not during this uncertain time!

Consider Donating Blood

There is a critical need for blood and platelet donations right now. Blood drives are being cancelled at an alarming rate due to closures and healthy and safety concerns during the pandemic. If you are healthy and able, consider donating blood or platelets to help with this shortage. To learn more about donating blood, visit the American Red Cross Website.

At Steve Landers Toyota, your safety is our top priority. That’s why we are taking great safety measures in our stores and offering services like video-chat vehicle walkthroughs and come-to-you test drives in which we bring the vehicle of your choice to your home. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if there are other accommodations you need. We will get through this together!
